Noises Off is a play within a play that centers on a theatre company and their production of the fictional British farce, Nothing On. In the first act, the audience finds themselves watching the final dress rehearsal and nothing is ready for opening night. The actors dont know their lines, the set isnt done and the director is pulling his hair out trying to pull it all together. The second act is a month later and the audience gets to see the show from backstage. Things are starting to fall apart. Actors are starting to physically fight each other backstage during the performance and the actors have to give it their all just to get the entrances and exits right. The third act is another month later and the show has become a disaster. | |
